What it does: Lawmatics is a client intake and CRM tool for law firms. It tracks leads, runs intake forms, sends automated follow ups and marketing, and checks for conflicts on higher plans (Lawmatics pricing, checked Oct 19, 2026). Its AI tools, called Merlin, include QualifyAI for screening leads (Merlin help article, Lawmatics pricing, checked Oct 19, 2026).

Who it fits: Firms with at least three users that want a dedicated intake and marketing system next to their case management tool (Lawmatics pricing, checked Oct 19, 2026).

Price

Not published. Lawmatics gives custom quotes only (Lawmatics pricing, checked Oct 19, 2026). What the page does say:

  • Essential plan: up to 500 contacts.
  • Premium plan: up to 10,000 contacts, with workflow and marketing automation and advanced conflict checking.
  • Enterprise plan: custom.
  • Essential and Premium have a three user minimum.
  • QualifyAI is an add on that uses credits. Time and billing is also an add on, and extra contacts are sold separately.

Integrations

Lawmatics lists Clio, 8am MyCase, Filevine, CallRail, Outlook, Gmail, Google Ads, and Meta Ads, among others (Lawmatics pricing, checked Oct 19, 2026). The CallRail connection logs calls in Lawmatics and fills in the marketing source without overwriting one that already exists (Lawmatics help, checked Oct 19, 2026).

Setup effort and hidden costs

  • You must talk to sales to get a price (Lawmatics pricing, checked Oct 19, 2026).
  • The three user minimum means a solo pays for at least three seats on Essential or Premium (Lawmatics pricing, checked Oct 19, 2026).
  • AI screening runs on credits, so heavy use costs more (Lawmatics pricing, checked Oct 19, 2026).
  • QualifyAI does not read files that leads upload (Merlin help article, checked Oct 19, 2026).

Contract traps

  • Fees are committed for the whole term. The terms say fees for the full term are "non-cancellable and non-refundable" unless your agreement says otherwise. Monthly billing is only a payment schedule, not a right to cancel month to month (Terms of use, checked Oct 19, 2026).
  • Seats are locked in. You pay for every seat on your order form for the whole term, used or not. You can add seats any time but only reduce them at renewal (Terms of use, checked Oct 19, 2026).
  • Auto renewal. Your plan renews for the same length as your first term unless you give written notice at least 30 days before the renewal date, sent to support@lawmatics.com or as a reply to the renewal reminder (Terms of use, checked Oct 19, 2026).
  • Lawmatics can change fees only at renewal, with at least 60 days' notice. Billing errors must be raised within 60 days of the bill (Terms of use, checked Oct 19, 2026).
  • Your term length depends on your order form. Ask for it in writing.
  • Export within the 60 day window after you leave, or the data is gone (Terms of use, checked Oct 19, 2026).

Questions to ask Lawmatics

  1. What will I pay per month, for how many users, and for how long am I locked in?
  2. How much does a QualifyAI credit cost, and how many does a typical lead use?
  3. Will you sign a BAA?
  4. Can I read your latest SOC 2 report before signing?
  5. What does a full export include, and in what format?

Strengths

  • Clear, written promise not to train AI on your data (Terms of use, checked Oct 19, 2026).
  • Specific exit timeline: 60 days to retrieve, then deletion on a set schedule (Terms of use, checked Oct 19, 2026).
  • Names the AI provider behind its tools (Merlin help article, checked Oct 19, 2026).
  • Broad integration list for legal software and ad platforms (Lawmatics pricing, checked Oct 19, 2026).

Limits

  • Fees and seats are locked in for the full term, with auto renewal (Terms of use, checked Oct 19, 2026).
  • No public prices (Lawmatics pricing, checked Oct 19, 2026).
  • Three user minimum on the main plans (Lawmatics pricing, checked Oct 19, 2026).

Our take

This is our opinion, based on the sourced facts above. On paper, Lawmatics has some of the strongest data terms in this directory: you own the data, no AI training, a named AI provider, and a clear exit window. The trade off is price you cannot see until you talk to sales, and a three seat minimum that may not suit a solo. Read your order form closely: you are committing to the full term, and you need to give notice 30 days before it renews.
